Zachry Group and its partners, Chiyoda International CorporationChiyoda International Corporation, a U.S. based wholly-owned subsidiary of Chiyoda Corporation, and McDermott International Inc., have been awarded an Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract by Golden Pass Products LLC, a joint venture partnership of Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil affiliates, to build the export project in Sabine, Texas.
The scope of work includes engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning for the LNG liquefaction and export facilities with a production capacity of around 16 million tons of LNG per year (approximately 5.2 MTPA x 3 trains) and are scheduled to be operational in 2024. The new facility will be located at the site of the existing Golden Pass LNG import terminal in Sabine Pass.
