Worley has been selected to provide front-end engineering design (FEED) for critical subsea infrastructure and the gas export pipeline on the Abadi LNG Project in Indonesia.

INPEX Corporation, through its subsidiary INPEX Masela Ltd., aims to produce 9.5 million tons of LNG annually, enough to supply more than 10% of Japan’s annual imports.

The project will also integrate carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology, making it a key part of Indonesia’s energy transition strategy.

The FEED scope is led by Worley’s team in Indonesia and supported by specialists from the subsea Centers of Excellence in Singapore and Perth, as well as Malaysia. With over 70% of the work being delivered in Indonesia, this contract builds capability in-country while leveraging expertise from across APAC.

The Abadi LNG Project is an example of Worley’s role in enabling lower-carbon energy solutions across Asia‑Pacific by combining natural gas development with integrated CCS technology.
