Wood Group awarded extension to existing contract by TOTAL E&P UK
Wood Group has been awarded a significant three-year extension to its existing contract, plus two optional years, by TOTAL E&P UK LTD ("TOTAL"). Under the terms of the contract Wood Group will continue to provide engineering design, procurement, construction and ancillary services to TOTAL's UKCS offshore assets, Alwyn, Dunbar, Elgin, Franklin, plus St Fergus, TOTAL's onshore site. The estimated potential value of the contract is up to £50 million per year.

TOTAL first awarded Wood Group the North Sea engineering & construction contract seven years ago. Following a comprehensive review the decision was taken by TOTAL to extend the existing contract with Wood Group Engineering (North Sea).

Alan Curran, Wood Group Engineering (North Sea's) CEO said, "We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded this key contract extension by TOTAL. It is testament to our hard work and commitment that Wood Group's long-term relationship with TOTAL has been extended for a minimum of another three years. We are totally committed to playing our part to deliver TOTAL's large investment programme to extend the life of existing UKCS fields. Our track record of delivering HSE excellence will remain a key goal."

Wood Group Engineering (North Sea's) TOTAL contract currently employs 240 onshore in Aberdeen and Glasgow, plus offshore personnel.

Roland Festor, TOTAL's Managing Director said, "TOTAL E&P UK is continuing to invest significantly in its UK assets to enhance oil and gas production from its existing assets by improving existing plant performance. We are extremely pleased to continue to work with Wood Group, building on previous successes, technological advances and further improving interfaces and ways of working."
