Wood has secured a new contract with bp Castrol Australia to provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services to two Castrol lubricant blending, filling, and manufacturing facilities in Spotswood, Victoria and Fremantle, Western Australia.
The contract will enable bp to streamline their project delivery interface and collaborate with Wood to introduce innovative solutions and drive consistency from their respective global operations to continually improve and increase efficiencies across their portfolio of brownfield projects at both facilities.
The three-year contract, further diversifies and strengthens Wood’s downstream portfolio in the Asia Pacific region and is Wood’s first downstream contract with BP in Australia, building on the strong partnership of both businesses globally.
Ralph Ellis, President of Wood’s Operations business in Australia, comments: “We are delighted to extend our global partnership and support of bp’s activities in Australia. The award of this contract showcases our capability to deliver full-spectrum EPC services in addition to innovative technical solutions to maximise efficient operations and asset performance at both sites. “
“To deliver this contract, we will draw upon both our global experience across consulting, projects and operations and the expertise of our local teams as we continue to grow our services in the downstream market in Asia Pacific.”
