On December 16, in the presence of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Kyrgyz Prime Minister Temir Sariyev, CNPC Chairman Wang Yilin and Arzybek Kozhoshev, Kyrgyz Minister of Economy and Industry, signed an investment agreement for constructing the Kyrgyzstan section of Line D of the Central Asia-China Gas Pipeline.
According to the agreement, technical standards and specifications will be determined for the design and construction of the pipeline, and the Kyrgyz Government will provide support to ensure the smooth progress of the project.
An essential part of Line D of the Central Asia-China Gas Pipeline, the 215km-long Kyrgyzstan section, with pipe diameter of 1219mm and annual capacity of 30bcm, will be the longest natural gas pipeline with the biggest pipe diameter in the Kyrgyz Republic upon completion.
