Tellurian Inc. ("Tellurian") announced that they have selected SG Americas Securities, LLC to provide general financial strategy and planning for the development and financing of Driftwood LNG, their 26 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project near Lake Charles, Louisiana in the US Gulf Coast. SG Americas, LLC is the US broker-dealer subsidiary of Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking (SG CIB). SG CIB, the investment banking arm of Société Générale, is a leading provider of global finance, investment banking and global markets services globally.
Tellurian President and CEO Meg Gentle said, "The advisory team at SG is a leader in LNG financing. With their expertise at hand, we will move forward with the financial structuring of Driftwood LNG. We anticipate construction in 2018 and first LNG from Driftwood LNG in 2022."
