Sval Energi was awarded five licenses, including one operatorship, in
today´s announcement by the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy in the APA2020 licensing round. All licenses are with solid partnerships and in attractive areas near existing infrastructure.
“I am very pleased that we today were awarded all our high-graded prospects applied for in the APA2020 licensing round. This affirms our ambitions and in-house competences to be an active explorer on the NCS going forward.
Exploration activity in general, and these licenses in particular, are important building blocks in our plans to build a solid portfolio of exploration, developments and production on the NCS,” says Jørgen Moe, Vice President Exploration in Sval Energi.
About Sval
Sval has worked with natural gas since 2011. From the very beginning our main business was to transport gas from the North Sea to Europe. Today we also participate in the exploration and development of oil & gas fields as well as owning a wind park development in Finland. Our ambition is to provide energy from oil and gas and new energy sources. As a new generation energy company, Sval sees the need to reduce the industry’s carbon footprint, the world's need for clean energy and also recognizes the profitable business opportunities that arise in the ongoing energy transition.
