Stena Drilling is pleased to inform that the Stena DrillMAX has been awarded a contract by FAR Limited.
The Stena DrillMAX will drill the Samo prospect offshore, The Gambia, scheduled for late 2018 with an expected duration of the campaign to be around 40 to120 days. According to FAR, this will be the first offshore well drilled in Gambia for 40 years and we are extremely pleased to see the Stena DrillMAX being selected for this work.
After a successful campaign with Cairn Energy Senegal in 2017 where the rig and its crew had an outstanding performance, completing the drilling campaign safely and achieving 99.89% of Operational Performance. Stena Drilling is excited to see the Stena DrillMAX return in the region and wishes the very best to all its crew and the rig management team.
