SONATRACH signed, today, two service contracts with the Consortium of the Chinese companies CAIEC (China National Aero-Technology International Corp) & SLPI (Shenglong Oil and Gaz Pipeline Inspection Technology Co., Ltd) relating to inspection through intelligent pigs of five (05) gas pipelines having an overall length of 3 576 Km of which two supplying foreign customers (GO2/548 Km and GPDF 521 Km).
These two formalized contracts are the outcome of an open National and International Call for tenders, with an execution deadline of 24 months each.
The conclusion of these contracts confirms SONATRACH’s commitment to comply with the Algerian regulation in force, notably the executive decree n°21-314, of 5 Muharram 1443 corresponding to 14 August 2021, establishing the control procedures and the follow-up of the construction and operation of a hydrocarbon transport system by pipelines, by performing periodic inspections of hydrocarbon transport pipelines and ensuring thereby a good management of the network integrity.
