The national hydrocarbon company SONATRACH signed an agreement with the Czech company ČEZ for the extension of the current contract for the supply of natural gas to the Czech Republic. This agreement enables the supply of natural gas for an additional one-year period starting October 1st, 2025, via the gas pipeline connecting Algeria to Italy.
Pursuant to this agreement, SONATRACH reinforces its position on the Czech market, while meeting the growing natural gas demand on the European market and especially central Europe.
Moreover, this collaboration not only strengthens Algeria’s presence on the global energy scene, but also asserts its commitment to expand the areas of bilateral economic cooperation to a broader level.
