SOFREGAZ has been awarded a Lump Sum contract to carry out Engineering Works for the Mellitah – Gabes Gas Pipeline Project by Joint Gas (a joint venture between The National Oil Corporation of Libya (NOC) and the Société Tunisienne de l’Electricité et du Gaz (STEG).

The scope of Engineering Works covers engineering activities for definition of the entire system and preparation of the EPC tender package. The TGPS is basically a dedicated natural gas pipeline system of about 265 km for the purpose of transporting natural gas from Mellitah (Libya) to Gabes (Tunisia).

The entire pipeline system mainly consists of a land pipeline section, associated compressor station(s), metering and gas quality control facilities and remote control & communication system.
