Snamprogetti, an Eni engineering company, has been awarded a turnkey contract for the construction of a grass-root gas treatment plant at Mellitah, on the Libyan coast. The total value of the contract is over 700 million Euro. The contract has been awarded by Agip Gas to an international consortium including Snamprogetti (leader of the consortium), the company ABB Lumus and the Korean company Hyundai Engineering and Construction, following competitive bidding with the most important international contractors in the field of gas plants. The consortium led by Snamprogetti will provide engineering, material supply and construction. Work will be completed in 29 months.
