Several foreign firms eager to build Iran’s gas pipeline to Oman
Seven foreign companies have voiced willingness to cooperate in construction of the Iran-Oman gas pipeline, managing director of the National Iranian Gas Exports Company (NIGEC) Alireza Kameli said.

Kameli underlined that two years will be required to lay the pipeline after the end of preliminary studies and signing the contract, Iran’s SHANA news agency reported.

He said that the Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC) has been entrusted with studies to specify the route for the pipeline under the sea, adding that the company has so far studied four routes to transfer gas to Oman.

About NIGC

The National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) was established in 1965 as one of the four principal companies affiliated to the Ministry of Petroleum of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
