SBM Offshore USA, (SBM Offshore) Inc. has signed a contract with BP Exploration and Production Inc (bp) for the wet tow and installation of the Kaskida semi-submersible Floating Production Unit (FPU).
The Kaskida field is a greenfield Paleogene development located approximately 250 miles southwest of New Orleans, in the Keathley Canyon area in the deepwater US Gulf.
The contract highlights SBM Offshore’s unique competence in deepwater moorings and installation, building on our 50+ experience in worldwide offshore installation activities, with more than 150 floating systems installed worldwide, among which 45 FPSOs installed in deep water.
