Petrobras concludes acquisition of exploration block in São Tomé and Príncipe
Petrobras, following up on the disclosure made on April 17, 2026, announces that it has concluded the acquisition of the interest in and operatorship for Block 3, located offshore São Tomé and Príncipe, in Africa.

Upon completion of the transaction, the consortium is now composed of Petrobras (operator, with a 75% interest) in partnership with Oranto (15%) and the National Petroleum Agency of São Tomé and Príncipe (10%).

This transaction is aligned with Petrobras’ strategy of replenishing its oil and gas reserves by exploring new frontiers, both in Brazil and abroad, as set out in the company’s Business Plan. The assessment of new opportunities seeks to diversify Petrobras’ exploration portfolio, promoting value creation and the long term sustainability of its businesses.

About Petrobras

Petrobras has upwards of 100 production platforms, 16 refineries, 30,000 kilometers of pipelines and more than 6,000 service stations. Our proved reserves are around 14 billion barrels of oil, a figure expected to double in the next few years. With the discovery of oil and gas in the pre-salt region, Brazil may become the world's fourth biggest oil producer in 2030.
