PDVSA Project Oriental Delta Caribe: Spearhead of Gas Revolution
In order to boost development, industrialization and improvement of life quality of the inhabitants of the country, PDVSA East Production through Offshore Division, gives a firm step to the exploitation of our valuable natural gas resources, with the signing of the Accelerated Production contract for the Dragon Field, one of four gas fields that form the Mariscal Sucre Project (PMS).

Petróleos de Venezuela uses with the French company Technip a novel scheme to accelerate the incorporation of gas to the domestic market and to allow the benefits of this oil in the short term go to our population, using cutting edge technology, Venezuelan talents and specialist advice in the field.

At the contract signing ceremony was attended by People’s Minister for Energy and Petroleum Rafael Ramirez, Vice President of Exploration and Production, Eulogio Del Pino, the executive director of East Production Orlando Chacín, the manager of the Offshore Division, Sosa Douglas, as well as representatives of Technip.

Venezuela's main industry has been run efficiently the drilling of the Dragon Field; the design, manufacture and testing of the main elements of the production system and the submarine collection, the CIGMA- Dragon pipe; and the pipeline to domestic market (Northeast Gas System).
