PDVSA continues strategic and commercial relationship with chinese oil company CNPC
International news agencies and the media overall have spread false or "fake news" on the strategic and business relation maintained by China and Venezuela with the intent of tarnishing the image of the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Both countries have a close relationship marked by direct cooperation, through their parent oil companies, Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA) and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), with joint investments in the order of 10 billion dollars, as well as 4 joint ventures that are implementing production projects that will reach nearly 800,000 barrels of oil per day (MBD) in Venezuela's vast oil reserves.

Also, as part of the complementary agreements, PDVSA currently maintains a supply of crude oil and refined products of up to 760 MBD to CNPC's commercial subsidiary.

Both companies are developing the joint construction of the Nanhai Refinery in Guangdong Province, China, with a processing capacity of 400 MBD, of which up to 280 MBD come from joint production projects in Venezuelan territory.

PDVSA and CNPC monitor the agreements that have been signed and discuss new business opportunities for the benefit of both countries.

The infamous blockade imposed by the United States Empire through the government of Donald Trump against our country will not affect the Comprehensive Strategic Alliance sealed by the presidents of China, Xi Jinping and Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros.

About PDVSA

Petróleos de Venezuela S.A., the state-owned corporation of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, is responsible for the efficient, profitable, and dependable exploration, production, refining, transport and commerce of hydrocarbons. This company is deeply committed to environmental protection and its main objectives are to foster the harmonic development of the country, to guarantee sovereignty of national resources, to increase endogenous development and to serve and benefit the Venezuelan people, who correspond to their share of the country’s national wealth.

About CNPC

CNPC is China's largest oil and gas producer and supplier, as well as one of the world's major oilfield service providers and a globally reputed contractor in engineering construction. With a presence in almost 70 countries, we are seeking an even greater international role.
