Oiltanking Andina Services, a Joint Venture between Oiltanking and Graña y Montero Petrolera (GMP), is pleased to announce that it has signed an operations and maintenance (O&M) agreement with Pure Biofuels del Peru (PBF) to operate the liquid bulk terminal in Lima, starting March 1, 2010.
Located in Callao Port, the main port of Peru, the terminal has 100.000 cbm of storage capacity equipped to handle petroleum products and biofuels. Through its Monobouy vessels up to PANAMAX can be handled. The terminal has been designed to serve the storage needs of the local market as well as the Pacific region and still has room available for further expansion. Apart from the O&M services Oiltanking Andina Services will also provide commercial support for the terminal.
Oiltanking is a subsidiary of Marquard and Bahls AG, Germany, a leading privately owned petroleum company. Oiltanking is the second-largest independent tank storage provider for petroleum products, chemicals and gases world-wide. The company owns and operates 68 terminals in 21 countries within Europe, North and South America, Middle East, India as well as Asia. Oiltanking has an overall storage capacity exceeding 17 million cubic meters.
Graña y Montero Petrolera (GMP) belongs to the Graña y Montero group, a leading Peruvian company which has been dedicated over the last 76 years to the development of the engineering and construction business in Peru and the Latin America region. GMP has focused 25 years on Peru's petroleum activities of exploration, perforation, production, separation & fractioning of liquids of natural gas. The joint venture with Oiltanking also supports the independent terminal business in Peru.
