Odfjell Drilling and BP Angola have entered into a contract amendment securing further work for Odfjell Drilling’s sixth generation ultra deepwater and harsh environment semi-submersible “Deepsea Stavanger” on Block 18 in Angola.

The contract is in direct continuation of the existing contract and is for six wells with an estimated total duration of 13 months. This contract secures work for “Deepsea Stavanger” for BP in Angola through 2015.

The contract value is estimated to USD 210 million. In addition, the contract amendment includes two unpriced options for two wells each.
