Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. announces to have been awarded contracts for a total amount of approximately €260 million for EPC and engineering services activities.
In Bratislava (Slovak Republic), the Group has received the award for an Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) Contract on lumpsum basis, for the realization of a Low Density Polyethylene Plant (LDPE–4). The Client is Slovnaft Petrochemicals s.r.o., member of the MOL Group, one of the largest players in the European Oil&Gas market. The overall project value is approximately €204million. Contract effective date will be within June 2012, but activities will promptly start through availability of the contract down payments. The project is part of the Slovnaft Petrochemicals’ development plan in Bratislava and project completion is expected on the first quarter 2015. The LDPE Plant will be based on the 'Lupotech T' technology of Basell Polyolefins and shall have a capacity of 220 KTY. With this contract Maire Tecnimont reinforces its presence in European market and consolidates its track record in the polyolefin’s sector.
Moreover, Maire Tecnimont has received a series of awards, located in the Far and Middle East and in Russian area, for engineering services and licensing activities in refining, gas treatment, fertilizers, and polyolefins sectors. The total value of these contracts amounts to €56 million.
