As always, we had a constructive discussion with Janaf, our crude oil supplier.
We asked the Croatian company providing oil transportation services for us to conduct appropriate tests to demonstrate that it is capable of transporting sufficient crude oil through the Adria pipeline every day of the year. MOL will continue to provide all support for the tests in Croatia. MOL is, of course, open to involving any external experts in this, but it is important to emphasize that MOL Group bears the burden of responsibility for the refineries and the security of supply in the region.
We have also indicated that we propose to go back to predictable market principles and to place commercial relations first. MOL has always been an advocate of transparent and market-based pricing.
We suggested that Janaf also study the best international examples of Western European transport company ownership structures, where the presence of oil users as owners guarantees fair pricing and continuous availability.
At the same time, we made it clear that MOL's position has not changed: to ensure security of supply in the region, at least two high-capacity and competitively priced crude oil pipelines are needed to ensure that raw materials are available in any havaria incident.
