San Tome.- The People’s Minister for Planning and Finance and Director of Petróleos de Venezuela, SA (PDVSA), Jorge Giordani, paid a working visit to the operational areas of the Orinoco Oil Belt to meet on-site an application of innovative technology projects that implement the oil industry to increase the productivity of wells in the southeast Venezuela.
Vice President of Exploration and Production, Eulogio Del Pino, and Executive Director of the Oil Belt, Pedro León, accompanied the head of Planning and Finance during the tour, which included visits to tillers, drills wells and operating on blocks Junín (San Cabrutica Diego), Carabobo (Morichal) and Ayacucho (Campo Carina).
Giordani said that investments in the oil industry is now perceived in the application of modern mechanisms and technologies in the areas of seismic and drilling, which today can enhance productivity and performance of production levels in line with the Oil Seed Plan and Simon Bolivar National Plan.
"We visited operational areas, not only because here are the most important oil reserves in the world, but also to develop the relationship with the oil workers and bring the message of our President Chavez, who is pleased by the tremendous work that daily makes our oil workforce, "he said.
Similarly, the Minister Giordani knew the progress of the implementation of the Plan Tricolor, currently running on the Oil Belt, which is expected to incorporate 146 000 barrels per day production until December, in the operations of the Ayacucho, Junín and Carabobo Divisions.
