Moving-GeoStatistics (M-GS) is an innovative geostatistical technology which allows to get more precise and realistic geological models and better assess uncertainties by using locally optimized geostatistical parameters.

The development of this technology is based on new techniques. They include:
- The development of automated parameter optimization process,
- The conception of new algorithms for the interpolation of anisotropy orientations,
- The implementation of mathematical morphology approaches.

Theoretical aspects will be developed in partnership with the Geostatistics Group and the Centre for Mathematical Morphology of Mines ParisTech.

The consortium, scheduled for a period of 2 years, is aimed to any Oil & Gas companies who wish to benefit from a groundbreaking technology helping them to reduce their exploration risks.

By sponsoring the consortium, they would be active part of an innovative project, being invited to bring their own professional expertise and to guide the M-GS potential applications according to their needs.
