JGC, in consortium with Technip, awarded the Yamal LNG project in Russia
JGC Corporation, with the leader of a consortium, Technip, was awarded by JSC Yamal LNG, owned by NOVATEK (80%) and TOTAL (20%), a contract to carry out the engineering, procurement, supply, construction, and commissioning of an integrated facility for natural gas liquefaction. The project will start immediately with a phase of estimation, detailed engineering and early procurement.

The facility will have an annual production capacity of 16.5 million tons and will be based of the resources of the South Tambey Gas Condensate field located on the Yamal Peninsula, Russia.

JGC has constructed LNG plants around the world that account for about 30% of current global LNG production. JGC is presently involved in four LNG plant EPC projects in Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Australia, as well as the FEED work for three others, a floating LNG plant in Malaysia and Indonesia, and an onshore LNG plant in Mozambique. Putting its utmost efforts into all its current LNG projects, JGC hopes to continue to bolster its reputation as a world-class engineering contractor for LNG plants both onshore and offshore.
