INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) announced that, through its wholly owned Malaysian subsidiary, it has acquired an 85 percent participating interest in Block 2E, located Off the Coast of Sarawak, Malaysia, from TotalEnergies EP Malaysia.

This acquisition is expected to contribute to the expansion of INPEX’s business portfolio in Malaysia and further strengthen the Company’s business foundation in the country. The acquisition also reflects INPEX’s efforts to expand its natural gas/LNG business as outlined in INPEX Vision 2035, which was announced in February 2025.

INPEX will continue to contribute to the stable supply of energy, with a focus on natural gas, across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, while proactively pursuing opportunities to expand its business activities in the region.
