Today, IOT Infrastructure & Energy Services Limited (IOT) and Katoen Natie announced a joint venture to develop new ventures in the field of storage, handling, packing and transportation services for polymers and solid specialty chemicals in India. It combines the polymers and solid specialty chemicals expertise of Katoen Natie and IOT’s in depth knowledge of the Indian market.
With this joint venture Katoen Natie realizes its strategy to move onto the Indian sub-continent. IOT on the other hand continues to diversify its terminalling business into the field of polymers and solid specialty chemicals storage, handling, packing and transportation. Katoen Natie and IOT are both well-known and established players in the petroleum and petrochemical services industry. The alliance offers numerous opportunities in supporting the clients of both parties to establish world-class solids handling services in the Indian market.
The new joint venture will be based out of Mumbai and will pursue opportunities for the storage, handling, packing and transportation of polymers and solid specialty chemicals in India’s rapidly developing chemicals and petrochemicals industries. In the new joint venture company Katoen Natie will hold a 51% interest while IOT’s interest will be 49%.
