With Hyundai Construction, GS Construction and SK Construction, Hyundai Engineering Company (HEC) was awarded the refinery plant project worth US$6.04 billion in Karbala, Iraq on February 13.

This is the highest amount for a single plant construction and highly meaningful in that four Korean companies worked together to win an overseas project. Each participant will be responsible for the design in their own area while the procurement and construction will be jointly conducted.

About Hyundai Engineering Company (HEC)

HEC provided engineering services for process plant, power plant, infra structures and environmental sectors. Hyundai AMCO was a well-known provider of construction management in the field of civil, building construction, housing and industrial plants.
