Fluor Completes RasGas Common Offplot Projects in Qatar
Fluor Corporation announced today that RasGas Company Limited has recently recognized the firm for its successful completion of the RL3 Common Offplot Projects in Ras Laffan City, Qatar. Fluor began the $1.5 billion engineering, procurement and construction management project in November 2005.

"Over the past three-plus years, our project team has consistently demonstrated engineering and construction excellence on this milestone-driven megaproject for RasGas," said Jim Heavner, senior vice president, Fluor's Energy & Chemicals Group. "Our project team successfully trained more than 62,000 different workers at the site coming from 40 different countries with peak construction manpower reaching nearly 9,000 workers in January 2008."

"The Common Offplot Projects have set new benchmarks for project execution excellence particularly in the area of safety performance," said Dave Marchak, RasGas Venture Group manager.

Fluor's engineering, procurement and construction management scope for the common offplot facilities included power distribution, pipelines, storage tanks utilities and related equipment required to provide common storage and loading operations supporting numerous new LNG, gas-to-liquids and gas sales projects in Ras Laffan City.
