Leading international oilfield services company, Expro, has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract for Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Ltd (HOEC) in Mumbai, India.

The seven-year contract will include the build, maintenance and operation of a production handling facility on a Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU) as well as all topside processing equipment.

The bespoke build will be fast tracked with a scheduled delivery of eight months. The MOPU will produce oil and gas from the B-80 field located offshore India.

“HOEC is delighted to partner with Expro to build, operate and maintain the oil and gas processing plant, which will be part of the Mobile Offshore Production Unit that will produce the first oil from B-80 Field located in Western Offshore.

“This follows the recent success of a modular gas processing plant that Expro built, installed, commissioned and currently maintains for HOEC in the Dirok gas field in Assam, north east of India. The plant recently achieved a milestone of 365 days without any down time or lost time incident (LTI).”
