Duro Felguera, via its DF Calderería Pesada division, has won a new contract with the North American oil company Phillips 66.
The new contract award includes a project for the manufacture of a hydrotreating reactor and a humidification column to install in one of Phillips 66's refineries in Louisiana. The company has a total of 13 refineries with a production capacity of over 2 million barrels per day.
The scope of the work to be done by DF Calderería Pesada includes the design and manufacture of the pressure vessels, which are exceptionally thick and whose inside is covered in a high chrome-content alloy. Once manufacturing is complete, the equipment will be taken to the port of New Orleans by sea.
This contract forms part of the now lengthy relationship between DF Calderería Pesada and Phillips, as they have previously collaborated in projects for refineries in the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany.
