On 20 May 2015 Dietsmann was awarded the Maintenance Engineering & Inspection services contract for the Yamal LNG plant in Russia. Located some 2500 km north-east of Moscow on the Yamal peninsula in the Ob River estuary, the plant is one of the world’s largest liquid natural gas (LNG) projects. The plant – a joint venture between Russia’s Novatek, France’s Total and China’s CNPC – will be built in three phases. When the phases go into operation at the end of 2016, 2017 and 2018, LNG will be shipped to both Asia and Europe.
The contract is for full Maintenance Engineering & Inspection support including ensuring maintenance and inspection feasibility, defining adequate maintenance and inspection operations, tools and means, defining and managing spare parts stocks, ensuring facility integrity, implementing the CMMS database and providing all necessary documentation.
This MEI contract, the largest ever signed by Dietsmann, represents both an important strategic opportunity for the Company and a major and motivating challenge for its engineering team. In total up to 40 engineers and technicians from Dietsmann Toulouse Technical Centre and Dietsmann Russia will be involved from June 2015 to 2019.
