On April 8, CNPC Chairman Zhou Jiping met with Shell CEO Ben van Beurden in Beijing. After a candid and friendly discussion, they signed Cooperation Documents between Shell and CNPC. According to the documents, the two companies will strengthen long-term worldwide cooperation in unconventional resources, deep water, LNG, and upstream and downstream businesses. Both agree to take soft power as an integral part in various fields of cooperation, and to promote the strategic partnership between the two sides to a higher level.
CNPC Vice President Wang Dongjin and PetroChina Vice President Bo Qiliang attended the meeting and the signing ceremony.
