Chiyoda Group Awarded FEED Contract for Floating LNG Project through its strategic alliance with Saipem

Chiyoda Corporation announces that its group company, PT Chiyoda International Indonesia has been awarded a Front End Engineering and Design (“FEED”) contract for Abadi Floating LNG Project in collaboration with PT Saipem Indonesia (Leader), PT Tripatra Engineers & Constructors , PT Tripatra Engineering and PT Rekayasa Industri.

1. Clients:
INPEX Masela, Ltd. (Operator: 60%)
Shell Upstream Overseas Services (I) Limited (30%)
PT EMP Energi Indonesia (10%)

2. Project Scope:
FEED work for Floating LNG with a capacity of 2.5 million tons per annum (MTPA)

3. Execution:
Joint execution by PT Saipem Indonesia (Leader), PT Chiyoda International Indonesia, PT Tripatra Engineers & Constructors, PT Tripatra Engineering and PT Rekayasa Industri

The award of this FEED contract is an important step for Chiyoda Group in further developing its floating LNG technology based on its accumulated experience in FEED and EPC of LNG projects. Chiyoda is accelerating its involvement in the floating LNG business worldwide with the objective of becoming a leading player through its strategic alliance with Saipem. Chiyoda Group will make every effort to advance to the EPC work for this project.
