Cheniere awards Worley multiple master services agreements
Worley has been awarded multiple master services agreements by subsidiaries of Cheniere Energy, Inc. (“Cheniere”) to provide engineering, procurement, construction and construction management services to Cheniere’s US Gulf Coast-based liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities.

Cheniere is the largest producer of LNG in the US. Its Corpus Christi facility in Texas has two operational liquefaction units and another in the commissioning process. Each can produce around five million tonnes of LNG a year. Cheniere’s Sabine Pass facility in Louisiana has five operational liquefaction units, with a sixth unit expected to be operational in 2022.

The services will be executed by Worley’s Houston office with support from its Global Integrated Delivery team in India. This will deliver greater efficiency and speed of turnaround for projects across Cheniere’s LNG facilities.

These new agreements build on Worley’s recent master construction services agreement for Cheniere’s Corpus Christi site. Under this, an on-site team from Worley executes small capital construction projects.

“Worley has a long track record of sustaining and optimizing LNG facilities globally. We help make facilities safer, more reliable, and more efficient,” said Karen Sobel, President of the Americas region at Worley. “The synergies across our engineering and construction teams allow us to execute projects efficiently and cost-effectively for our LNG customers.”

“We are pleased that Cheniere has engaged Worley to provide expanded engineering and construction services to its Corpus Christi and Sabine Pass LNG facilities. These agreements support Cheniere in its efforts to deliver excellence in LNG. They also support Worley’s strategic focus of delivering a more sustainable world.”
