Cameron LNG's first commissioning cargo departs Kackberry
Cameron LNG announced the first commissioning cargo shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) departed from the Hackberry, La., liquefaction-export facility.

“Connecting Cameron LNG and Hackberry to the four corners of the world with cleaner burning fuel with our first LNG cargo is truly a proud moment for all of our employees who have been working tirelessly for the last few years,” said Farhad Ahrabi, CEO of Cameron LNG. “This day would not have been without the support of our sponsors: Sempra, Total, Mitsui, Mitsubishi and NYK, and the local communities who have embraced us with open arms.”

Cameron LNG completed all major construction activities for Train 1 and began the commissioning and start-up process in November 2018. Earlier this month, the facility began producing LNG. Commissioning cargos are a vital part of the start-up process and support stabilizing production and performance testing. Commercial operations will follow completion of performance testing and receipt of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) authorization to commence service.

About Cameron LNG

Cameron LNG is jointly owned by affiliates of Sempra LNG, Total, Mitsui & Co., Ltd. and Japan LNG Investment, LLC, a company jointly owned by Mitsubishi Corporation and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK).
