Bechtel announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the U.S. Department of Commerce to support Japan’s $550 billion commitment to the United States—strengthening the U.S. industrial base and enabling new investments in power, data centers, and advanced manufacturing.

The signing took place in Tokyo during a ceremony attended by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, senior officials from the U.S. and Japanese governments, and American and Japanese business leaders. Brendan Bechtel, Bechtel Chairman and CEO, joined President Trump and other leaders in formalizing an agreement to support critical energy infrastructure in the United States.
