We are pleased to announce a major milestone for our client Sonatrach, for Bonatti and our partner Petrofac: on Monday 2 July Alrar started production!
The Algerian Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning, Noureddine Bedoui and Minister of Energy, Mustapha Guitouni, the Sonatrach’s Chief Executive, Abdelmoumen Ould Kaddour, Bonatti Group Chief Executive, Paolo Ghirelli, and Petrofac Group Chief Executive, Ayman Asfari, came together for the inauguration ceremony at the gas field.
The joint venture between Bonatti and Petrofac executed engineering, procurement and construction of the new separation and boosting compression facilities in Alrar with the goals to increase the production and extend field life.
Mr Paolo Ghirelli, Bonatti Group CEO, commented: “It was a real challenge that we won due to our people, our long presence in Algeria and fruitful cooperation with our Partner Petrofac. Our client Sonatrach is now able to improve the production of this important field”.
Mr Roberto Castelli, Bonatti Plant Construction Director, also said: “Our people were the key-element to execute works in a such challenging area. We overcame many difficulties and worked very hard to achieve the project’s goals. Today we are celebrating this result with our client Sonatrach and our Partner Petrofac, tomorrow we will be ready for new challenges”.
