- Honeywell UOP has been chosen to provide engineering services to ANRPC to improve the quality of their gasoline blend stock and produce feedstock for petrochemical production
   - Refinery revamp will increase gasoline production through ANRPC facilities which will help decrease the dependency on imported fuels in Egypt

Honeywell announced today that Alexandria National Refining and Petrochemical Company (ANRPC) will upgrade their existing naphtha complex using Honeywell UOP engineering services to increase the production of gasoline which will help decrease the dependency on imported fuels in Egypt.

The upgrade, which creates high quality product and feedstock for petrochemical production, will be applied to two UOP Naphtha Hydrotreating Units to pretreat the feedstocks to two CCR PlatformingTM Process Units and a PenexTM/DIH Process Units at ANRPC’s refinery in Alexandria, Egypt.

Naphtha is a valuable petrochemical feedstock traditionally derived from crude oil and natural gas condensates. Honeywell UOP will revamp the naphtha complex to increase ANRPC’s naphtha processing, projected to be up to 125 percent.
