Aker BP is offered interests in 21 new production licenses (licenses), including 13 new operatorships, at the Awards in pre-defined areas (APA) 2016.

Aker BP achieved a very good result in this round. We are very pleased with the award, which forms the basis for further growth, says SVP Exploration, Gro G. Haatvedt.

Of the 21 production licenses, 16 are in the North Sea, 4 in the Norwegian Sea and one in the Barents Sea.

The APA award was announced by the Minister of Petroleum and Energy (MPE), Terje Søviknes on Tuesday 17 January.
