Aibel awarded M&M framework agreement with Vår Energi
Aibel and Vår Energi have signed a framework agreement for maintenance and modifications (M&M) for the Goliat and Gjøa fields. The contract has a duration of five years plus options.

The framework agreement was signed by Aibel President and CEO Mads Andersen during a session at Vår Energi in Stavanger.

“We are proud that Vår Energi has shown us trust and chosen us as supplier for maintenance and modifications. They have been particularly focused on competitiveness through operational efficiency, improvement plans, local content, and competence in early-phase projects. Their choice is therefre a great recognition of our skilled employees and provides inspiration to continue being the preferred supplier in this segment,” says President and CEO Mads Andersen.

“This contract will contribute significantly to competence enhancement and improvement of the companies’ joint work processes, which in turn will create increased value for the customer and greater competitiveness for Aibel. Furthermore, it ensures local deliveries that generate activity, ripple effects, and employment in Hammerfest, making it an important element in our commitment in Northern Norway. We will provide technical deliveries and contribute with engineering support and project management, working closely and integrated with Vår Energi on Goliat in the north and Gjøa in the west,” says Marianne S. Davenport, Executive Vice President for M&M at Aibel.

The Hammerfest office will provide resources for the work on Goliat, while the Gjøa part will mainly be handled from the Stavanger office.

The framework agreement is effective from 1 September 2025 and has a duration of five years, with options for three additional two-year periods. It is estimated that the contract corresponds to approx. 200 full-time equivalents.
