AGR has been awarded a contract to provide project management services to large independent operator ‘Hunt Oil’ for the drilling of one exploration well located in Permit WA-425-P offshore north Western Australia.
AGR Regional General Manager, Bruce Roebuck, said: “AGR is looking forward to working with key Hunt Oil personnel to plan and execute the well. We are proud to have been chosen as a partner for Hunt Oil in their first ever operation in Australian waters.”
The contract, awarded to AGR’s Perth based team, includes provision of full well management, including drilling engineering, planning, procurement, regulatory requirements and operational support.
A critical milestone in the well management process is to secure a suitable rig for the work, and AGR is pleased to announce that the semi-submersible ‘Stena Clyde’ has been contracted by Hunt Oil, with a planned commencement date of Q4/2013 – Q1/2014.
