Iran plans to launch 5 new phases of South Pars gas field and increase the output from the field to 526 million cubic meters per day (MMcm/d) by March 21, 2017, managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) Ali Akbar Shabanpour said.
He said phases 19, 20, 21, 17 and 18 of the South Pars gas field are planned to become operational by the end of the current Iranian calendar year to March 20 2017, Iran’s SHANA news agency reported.
Shabanpour stated that six platforms of South Pars gas field will be loaded and commissioned by the end of the current Iranian calendar year.
