Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company (IGEDC) plans to lay 6,000 kilometers of gas pipelines nationwide in the coming years.
Managing Director of the Company Hassan Montazer Torbati told the Panel Meeting of Gas Industry in the Next half a Century that more than 34,000 km of gas pipelines have so far been laid across the country and a further 1,680 km will be laid in near future, Iran’s SHANA news agency reported.
Torbati said 76 gas pressure stations have been set up in the country and 10 more are under construction, adding that the company plans to construct 36 such stations in the coming years.
